Description
Animation is a visual technique that provides the illusion of motion by displaying a collection of images in rapid sequence. Each image contains a small change, for example a leg moves slightly, or the wheel of a car turns. When the images are viewed rapidly, your eye fills in the details and the illusion of movement is complete.
Dedication
The simplest example of flip animation is the drawing of a series of matchsticks starting from the horizontal and finishing at the vertical, when flip viewed the match will appear to stand up. If these same images are laid out in the reverse order, the match will lay down. By drawing a series of matches in a complete 360 degree circle and laying them out in differant combinations you will be able to make the match stick somersault. You are now an animator and hooked on the interest.
