Popularity

Description
Driven shooting is as much a social event as a sporting one, full of etiquette built up over the years to promote safety and sportsmanship within the sport. The weapon used is a twelve bore shotgun, and the quarry that may or may not be shot on the day, is stipulated by the host before shooting begins. The host or the keeper position the guns in a position where they consider the game will fly and give good sport, several drives are shot during a days shooting.

Dedication
There is no set amount of dedication necessary to shooting. Ranging from a social gun who is invited once or twice a year, to a keen gun who will shoot two or three days a week during the season. As a reflex sport it is obviously better to shoot regularly.
