Rugby Fives is a ball game played on a four walled court by two or four players. The ball is struck with a gloved hand with the object of making it difficult for an opponent to return the ball as it rebounds off the front wall.

The court is slightly smaller than a squash court and has a stone floor rather than a wooden one. The game is played in a court that is enclosed by four walls, the front wall has a wooden board running across it 2ft6in above the ground.

Description
Play starts with the server throwing the ball so that it hits the front wall and rebounds onto a side wall, after the ball has bounced the server hits the ball against the same wall and onto the front wall above the board. The service is then returned, the ball may bounce off of any of the four walls before being returned as long as it touches the floor only once. Only the receiver of service can score points, if the receiver wins a rally he scores a point, if the server wins he becomes receiver
