Zorbing (also called Sphereing) is done in a Zorb, and `you` are a 'Zorbonaut', your ship? A giant plastic ball that you climb inside of, and are then pushed over a steep hillside Yes you travel downhill at speed, for an exciting exhilarating ride.

Location
Sphereing originated in New Zealand in the early 1990s. There are now clubs and associations throughout the U.K. and the world, as well as comercial operators offering rides to the public.
Ability
You will need a reasonable amount of physical fitness to pursue this and although you are only rolling down hill in a ball the exhilaration will also require a good sense of health.
Description
The Zorb or Sphere as they have become known, is made of a 3 meter high ball with a smaller ball in the middle suspended by nylon cords which help to give the Zorb a kind of suspension. The Zorbonaut is harnessed into the inner ball and then set to roll downhill, this is done as singles or pairs, or loose the harness. enter two buckets of water and have a water ride downhill.
Dedication
You can take the Zorb ride as a regular sport or have one of the many taster or special days available, it is entirely up to you how dedicated you remain.
