Description
Wakeboarding is a hugely popular sport, it is performed on a single board with non release foot holds, like a skateboard you will mount the board side ways on one foot in front of the other, most rider start laying in the water with board in front of them, holding on to the rope handle, the boat will take off and gently raise you from the water into a squatting position on the board, ride squatted for a few seconds and then you are away.
Dedication
Dedication is important it takes time and effort to be able ride a board, experienced riders can start from a dock or jetty with boat taking up the flack and then jumping onto the water, become even more experienced and perform tricks on the water jumping the wake from the boat and performing acrobatics in the air before hitting the water again.
Potential
Potential to have lots of fun and make new friends, there are also tournaments carried out in this sport.
