Butterfly is a swimming discipline, a swimming stroke. See swimming activity number 592
Description
The arms in the butterfly stroke are brought forward at the same time to enter the water at some point in front of the shoulders and are then pulled backwards under the water surface. No alternating movement of the arms is permitted. The shoulders must at all times be parellel to the surface of the water. Simultaneous up and down movements of the legs and feet are permitted, but no alternating movements.
