Treasure Hunt is an active, but not too strenuous, team-building event designed to thrill and stretch your group whilst having a fun-filled day! Clues may be visual, historical, anecdotal, technical, cunning, cryptic and humorous.
Popularity
This is an extremely fun pastime with many clubs and groups throughout the UK, some are even done via boat charter on the Thames
Location
Locations are as diverse as the sport, there are specifically designed areas in various councils as well those constructed by Car owners Clubs.
Age
This is as much a family event as a team event, so as long as you have someone that has a legal license, anyone can take part.
Ability
The only attributes required are the means to solve puzzles, complete anagrams and solve cryptic clues, to work as a team, the ability to navigate, and above all the ability to have fun.
Description
Motoring Treasure Hunts is exactly as the title says. Various motoring clubs have their version, there are specialised clubs for all comers. Primarily you are given a course to follow depicted through clues at random stops created through the clue from the previous stop. Some arrange these events to meet at a pub during the route for lunch to discuss the day thus far and to encourage those that maybe getting a bit non-plus through the trial.
Dedication
The popular Treasure Hunt series on television has brought a new appeal to this sport as well as a lot of new faces that would normally have passed it by. Though a bit more extreme with helicopters against your mere vehicle, the same dedication that the team portrays is required as well as the enthusiasm.
Potential
The potential of this is to have a great time, meet new people and strike up new friendships. Its great to incorporate in a holiday or just for a longweekend change from the run of the mill activities
