Description
Tang Soo Do teaches mental and physical training which involves the application of co-ordinated agility, dynamic mobility, power, whole body endurance, flexibility and special awareness to complex body movements. These include stances, patterns (forms), breathing exercises, self defence, hand and foot techniques, sparring and free fighting. Tang Soo Do is suitable for both sexes from the age of six upwards and provides a firm basis for personal advancement, fitness and health.
Dedication
Tang Soo Do (a brotherhood stopping inner and outer conflict, developing virtue according to the way of the worthy hand) is not a sport. Though it is not competitive, it has great combat applications. A classical martial art, its purpose is to develop every aspect of the self, in order to create a mature personality who totally integrates his intellect, body, emotions, and spirit. Total integration helps to create a person who is free from inner conflict with mature intelligence.
Potential
Tang Soo Do suitable for both sexes from the age six upwards and provides a firm basis for personal advancement, fitness and health. Tang Soo Do adheres to the traditional path of self control by instilling self discipline and social responsibility.
Cost
There is great variation in costs between clubs for membership, tuition and annual fees. Never part with any money or sign any contracts that legally bind you to a membership for any period of time on your first lesson. Find out additional costs with doing the martial arts - and ask about uniforms - gradings - student licence's - insurance - yearly membership fee's, joining fee's and kit that you may need to use within the club i.e. sparring kit or anything else that you may need.
