In line skating is similar to roller skating, it differs in that Inline skates have 4 or 5 wheels, arranged in a single line, and are part of a boot. Inline skating is a form of leisure and a sport that includes both racing and trick disciplines.
Popularity
A popular social activity is the group skate in which large groups of skaters meet to skate together, Skating a slalom coarse or city streets skating in tandem and shadowing the lead skater.
Location
Inline skating is often done on the road, pavements, and park roadways. Skaters are encouraged to use Skate parks and specially constructed tracks and areas. Where they can avoid the dangers posed from traffic, and annoying members of the public.
Age
Inline Skating is an activity that appeals to a large age range, popularly from around eight years of age through to those in their forties, although people in there sixties and seventies are commonly seen enjoying skating as a recreation.
Ability
The basic skill of roller skating is a once gained, never forgotten ability, Similar to that of riding a bicycle; NERVE, BALANCE and CONFIDENCE. There will be early tumbles but these will quickly be over come and full proficiency rapidly follows.
