Some competitions especially children's competitions have a minimum and maximum age restriction or category. There are promotional competitions for every age group from 4yrs upwards. Commercially run competitions often have a minimum age of 18yrs.
Ability
Different competitions require different abilities; from writing slogans and limericks to drawing and painting. Some simply require writing in a certain number of words the reason why you should be the winner.
