Roller Cycling is an indoor exercise routine/machine created for cycling races. There is a turbo and a straight roller machine designed for this and are portable. It is not a competitive instrument though one could assimilate times trials.
Popularity
Most cycling clubs would have these as warm up tools before a race especially indoor. It would seem people would use them indoors.
Location
This is an indoor facility that is designed for the keen cyclist who cannot always get out on the road and for warming up for indoor races. Though it has potential for other applications it is mainly a personal machine or for use in cycling clubs.
Age
Age range would be dependant upon the persons athletic ability more than age. Once a person is capable of riding with proficiency and skill they would be able to use these machines.
Description
This is a good medium for building yourself up to enter into the racing world. Though tactics learnt on the track cannot be assimilated on the machine other than power surging for race finishes. It is a good medium for training without the isolation road training creates.
Dedication
Once again this is a tremendous medium for the dedicated. You would have to be dedicated for it to have the results you require and is personally challenging. Cyclists deal with many chronic aches and pains caused by poor mobility, lack of flexibility and strength imbalances, this system allows all year round training to minimise these problems.
Potential
The potential of these machines is purely personal to prepare you for racing or for just getting fit.
