On the 25/9/2008 HIPSFINDER attended a NEET event held in Havant, Hampshire.

On the 25th September 2008 Hampshire Connexions held a NEET event at the Havant Leisure Centre. The NEET day was for all young people in the Havant area who are or are at risk of becoming NEET ( Not in Education, Employment or Training).
HIPSFINDER attended the show, where it demonstrated the full range of leisure time activities available, and also gave members of the public the chance to do a personal leisure time lifestyle matching search, right there on the spot.
The HIPSFINDER stand was kept busy throughout the afternoon by young people eager to find something different to get involved in, also many of the other organisations attending the event approached the stand enquiring how their organisations could benefit from using, and being involved with the Hipsfinder project.
All in all a very successful and exhausting day for the HIPSFINDER staff.
The aim of the day NEET was to provide young people with information about the different services and opportunities available to them, as well as other issues affecting their lives.
