Foozeball also known as Foosball, Table Football and Rods, is a table-top sport with minimal rules.
Foozeball is a game in which players attempt to use figures mounted on rotating bars to kick the ball into the opposing goal.
Popularity
In the UK table football is most commonly played as a socially played competitive game, between friends.
Location
Although popularly played in the home, table football tables are most commonly found in amusement arcades, Clubs and public houses.
Age
Table Football can be played by all ages, both male and female. (Children may be prevented from entering some alcohol licensed premises where table football tables are situated).
Ability
A game that can be played by players with no previous experiance and needing no special abilities, however if you progress to playing more experienced players it becomes a game of great speed needing very high speed of reflex reaction.
Description
Each team of which there can be 1, 2, or 3 human players (normally 1) controls 4 rows of foozemen.
The standrd table contains 8 rows of foos men, with a configuration of;
Row 1 Goalkeeper
Row 2 Defense 2 Foozemen
Row 3 Opponent's attack 3 Foozemen
Row 4 Midfield 5 Foozemen
Row 5 Opponent's midfield 5 Foozemen
Row 6 Attack 3 Foozemen
Row 7 Opponent's defense 2 Foozemen
Row 8 Opponent's goalkeeper
Dedication
When playing to the Rules "360-degree shots" or "spinning" (using the palm of the hand to quickly spin the bar, instead of using wrist strokes to kick the ball with a bar-mounted figure) are to be illegal. However, shots short of a full 360-degree rotation are legal.
