Rock-It-Ball, is a fast moving combat ball sport. Launched in Great Britain in 2005. Rock-it-ball has very flexible rules being able to be played in a variety of ways. Most popularly played in a `two team / team of four format`.
Location
Rock-It-Ball can be played indoors in sportshalls or outside in a park. It is a very flexable game, with little fixed equipment.
Age
Players of all ages and abilities and most disabilities can enjoy success at different levels.
Ability
As several balls are in play at one time, players find they have to constantly be on the move and on the lookout. Making for an exhausting workout, which is also good for spatial development and hand-eye co-ordination.
Description
Rock-It-Ball is played using fast low-impact sports balls and ‘Rock-Its’ (poles with moulded scoops on each end). Each team consists of 4 or 5 players depending on the size of the hall where Rock-It-Ball is played. With 4 players on each side there are 4 balls in the game; with 5 players there are 5 balls. Hitting a player or players of the other side with the ball scores points. A hit scores one point; but if the targeted player catches the ball, he or she gains two points, for their team.
