Most builders have as much enjoyment creating their masterpiece as driving it, but each and every kit car is built and finished only as well as its builder's skills and knowledge allow. So completed cars can vary from bodged to beautiful.

If you are building a vehicle from a kit or kit conversion, it will need to meet certain criteria before the vehicle can be registered. The local (DVLA) office will assign an appropriate registration mark on the provision of required evidence.

The potential of this activity is to, firstly, complete constructing the car, and hearing the engine start for the first time. And secondly to own and drive your dream car. Seeing an admiring crowd around your car, is a rewarding experience.
