Mud wrestling is an entertainment, in which two people sometimes four, wrestle in a mud pit, although presented as a competition, it is normally competed in a semi-competitive fashion. Winning and losing is not considered as important as having fun.
Popularity
Mud wrestling for some unexplainable reason is far more popularly contested between females than males.
Location
Mud wrestling contests are normally held in portable mud pits, constructed from garden paddling or swimming pools, filled with a mixture of clay and water, although other mixtures have been tried, such as jelly or baked beans.
Age
Not an activity normally contested by those under the age of eighteen years.
Description
Rules for this activity are varied. Some contests are run strictly to All In Wrestling Rules, where as in other contests the winner is decided by throwing the opposing contestant from the pool, a submission or the number of falls in a given time. The referees word is final! but would anyone be brave or stupid enough to try and stop a pair of fighting females?
Potential
Mud wrestling contests are normally locally organised events, with contestants fighting for local pride and honor. The contests potential is to raise charitable funds for a worthwhile cause.
