While walking has since been a favourite past time of many, it is now becoming very popular not only as a sport but also as away to raise money and awareness for many health and research organisations.

Walking has been a popular past time from walking the dog to trekking over such places as Dartmoor, it is now very popular as a form of fitness.

People walk through the country and through cities, walking is so versatile you can do it almost anywhere.

Walks are great for people of any age though for the very young you may require the back up of a pram or backpack for tired feet.

The great thing about walking is you don require any special abilities, just walk within your fitness rage.

Description
Walking in 2006 has become a highly popular and motivated sport, doctors and health professionals are recommending it as a gentle form of exercise, with so many people sat behind a desk or for children slumped over a PlayStation it is a good way to get the circulation moving at a healthy rate therefore benefiting our whole bodies and also helping to maintain a healthy weight. People walk on there own however there are many walking clubs throughout the UK and the world to join for organised walks.

Find a group through HIPS Finder? to go on many of the organised walks, these can be walks of interest or simply a group of people meeting and enjoying a friendly walk, for the very dedicated people like to push the walk to a trek over places such as Dartmoor, though a healthy walk could just simply be walking the dog.
