Wave Skiing is an upcoming sport enjoyed on the sea it is very similar to that of kayaking though it is more extreme than that and uses a specially designed board.

Popularity
This is a highly popular sport with men and women, booking courses for group holidays or hen/stag weekends.

Location
At a beach near you, throughout the UK and the World.

Age
Age starts at approximately Junior age and there is no upper age limit.

Ability
An ability to swim would be advantageous though you must wear a life jacket for safety purposes.

Description
Wave Skiing is a cross between kayaking and surfing, a specially designed board has been produced where the rider sits on the board as opposed to it in such as with a kayak, there is a quick release belt and special foot holds to keep the rider on the board, as with kayaking the rider uses a double ended paddle, the aim of the sport is to have fun, though more experienced wave skiers will ride on high waves, like surfing just riding the waves.

Dedication
This can be just a fun weekend course, something that you try on holiday maybe book for a hen or stage weekend, though many people take this up as a regular sport to the ability of being to ride the most spectacular waves making it look seamless and effortless though this does require a lot of knowledge and strategy to reach this level.

Potential
To make lots of friends and learn a new sport, though become a seasoned wave skier and enter competitions in the UK and all over the world for prizes and trophies.

Consider costs from a weekend away, to kitting yourself out with a complete set of wave board equipment this will include the wave board and paddle, life jacket and suitable sports wear and possibly a wetsuit.
