Description
Literally, Jiu Jitsu is the technique or art (jitsu) of suppleness, flexibility and gentleness. Although Jujitsu techniques are initially learned individually, in a static position, the essence of Jujitsu is the ability to move from technique to another, or a second or even a third as needed - and as quickly and as often as necessary to control an attacker. Each technique, in fact, is designed to illustrate and teach a specific principle.
Dedication
Many people come to Jitsu for self defence, others have different technical and spiritual goals. We will help you to strive to reach them, though they will all require effort, hard work, commitment and above total dedication. Although you need not be fit to start Jitsu, regular training will improve your general fitness, flexibility, strength, coordination, reaction time and, above all, self-confidence. Of course, you will also learn to look after yourself.
Potential
Lessons learned on the mat can filter through and change for the better the way you think of yourself off the mat. The Jitsu Foundation, our governing body, organises regular gradings, as well as regional and national courses and events. Undertaking
