There is no age restriction as such to becoming a guide, but because of the time and commitment necessary it is a more suitable activity for the elder person with more time to spare in the daytime.
Ability
Necessary abilities to becoming a guide are a sound knowledge of the attraction. A sense of humor and the ability to relate fully and interestingly to the visiting public. The visitors enjoyment relies largely on the guide.
Description
A guides primory duty is to make sure that visitors to an attraction get the most from their visit. Not only making sure the visitor sees all that there is to see, but relating the history of the attaction and any ammusing anecdotes or myths associated with it.
Other duties include ensuring the safty of the visitors, and preventing dammage to the attraction.
