Gurning is the art of contorting your face without the need to resort to any artificial aids, other than perhaps framing your head, normally in a horses collar. An ancient fun activity normally contested annually in a local public house.
Description
Gurning contests have been held since ancient times, and are a simple fun spectical held annually normality in a local pub between regulars. the idea is to make your face as unrecognizable and as comical as possible, with out the use of any artificial aids such as make up, elastic bands or string. Just pull a funny face, done for fun and the amusement of all present the winner normally judged by the amount of applause gained or by some suitably appointed local authority on the subject.
