The comprehensive website will explain how to lay your own cache and you can also find co-ordinates to find a cache, once you have found you cache some will have a log so you can log you name and details and many have non perishable treasures in them, these are usually token items, you can help yourself to a treasure and then leave a treasure in its place.

The beauty of this is you can do it as and when it suits you, there is nothing to say how many hours, days, months or years you have to spend Geocaching.
