Description
It is believed that line dancing originated in the Wild West, though it actually came from a form of folk dancing, though it was the country music scene that explored and developed line dancing as it is today. It was in the 1990's when Billy Ray Cyrus 'Achy Breaky Heart' took the U.K. by storm that it really became popular in the U.K. When attending a class with an instructor you will be taught the dance moves that will then be put into a routine, with dancers dancing in parallel lines.
