Disco is a style of dancing that evolved from a type of music that was classed as Disco in the 1970's, people met up in Discotheques, with crazy hairstyles and even crazier clothes to dance the night away.

Disco was hugely popular taking over most of the world when it erupted, today it is recognised as a dance style and remains hugely popular in the clubs and competition dancing.

You will see and be able to take part in disco dancing in your local nightclub or join one of the many dance clubs and classes throughout the U.K. There are many dancing displays and shows throughout the U.K and the world.

Anyone can Disco dance maybe your tiny tot will dance you feet off or Granny will show you up with hot moves, classes generally start from Junior age and rise to adult.

Ability
You don't really need any special abilities to Disco dance, why not take your two left feet along to a class. Disco dancing is quite fast moving so the best thing you will need is stamina.

Disco dancing erupted all over the world in the 1970's originally it was given to a type of music that was played on a drum beat of 4/4 or 120 BMP (beats per minute) it is considered Manu Dibango's 1972 Soul Makossa' was the first disco record, though most records were released in 1973, disco is brought together from influences of Soul, Funk and Salsa, it is the music itself that got people to 'Dance To The Music' and 'Jive Talking' it even encouraged to 'Climb Every Mountain'. Disco is FUN.

Disco is a fun and energetic hobby/sport/past time whichever you choose to call it, get yourself down to the local nightclub and shake your stuff, or look out for many of the 70's/80's nights that pubs and clubs promote, if you want to really dedicate yourself and become the King or Queen of the dance floor, with moves that impress, why not take a Disco Dance Class.
